- How far away is the prison from San Francisco?
- How large is the actual prison?
- Is it a man made island?
- How many different buildings are there? What were they used for?
- How big were the prison cells? What type of things did they have in them?
- What year did it open? What year did it close?
- Why did they close it?
- Did anyone escape? Were they successful?
- How many prisoners did the prison hold?

My Passion Project
WHAT?
- I am doing my passion project about Alcatraz. Alcatraz is a prison near San Francisco, California.
- I had the chance to visit Alacatraz a few years ago and I have always been really interested in it. I also watched a movie about four guys who tried to escape Alacatraz. I would really like to know more about Alcatraz to share with others.
- Online- I will be looking at e-resources on google
- Public Library- I will check out the library to see if they have any resources
- Youtube- I will search youtube for any documentaries that have been created.
- Makerspace- I will use the resources in the Makerspace to build a scale model of the prison. Both inside and outside views.
- I will be able to educate the audience at my mini exhibition about Alcatraz. I will have an online quiz for them to fill out after my presentation so I can collect the data.
